THE AMATEUR
Glenn W. Cooper
An amateur astronomer was looking
through a telescope when a star fell into his
eye.
The next day he complained to his doctor
of a burning sensation.
You have stars in your eye, the doctor said,
That’s the problem with being an amateur; a
professional wouldn’t let this happen, the
doctor said, Get your head out of the clouds.
What about proctology, the man said.
Get your head out of that, too, the doctor
said.
Gynecology?
Don’t start playing with fire …
