ONWARDS TO THE CORE OF IT ALL

ONWARDS TO THE CORE OF IT ALL
Tom Gazdag

I recall that
we were
talking sausages:

casings,
variants,
applications
including but not limited to
the careful fashioning
of their packings
into flowing dreadlocks.

And how
with the right selection
you could gain purchase for some time in the plush of the Cosmos.

We never saw him ’till
he was plastered in our grills,
shouting

“You guys did it! You made my life this steaming shit-wagon!”

“My mom is there now!”

He pointed crustily
to the XXX cinema
across Eighth Avenue.

And I recall saying
“Have another drink.”

  1. Tom sent in a single poem. I hope he sends in another one.

Head to his site (there’s a link on the Poets’ Page) to read more of his work. He’s also a good photographer.
