B.Z. Niditch

Tarnished by the gloss
of a slippery nightmare
after eyeing Munch’s
“Scream” in a backdrop
of adolescence
abruptly seized
by an unfinished dream
covering its long distress
well oiled by memory
until far midnight
releases in awareness
filling our limpid eyes
and film clipped ears
with what brushes
against our art stroll
dispersing an outcry
for our age.
