Olivia Finley

code for pause, halt your fun,

How long will you chase joy away
by trying to hold it still?

Forgive me for wanting

static, painted replicas.

  1. The last of Olivia’s submissions. Click the link to read her other poem, A BETTING MAN.

  2. As a former photographer, this makes a lot of sense. Reminds me of a phrase about going to weddings, “sharing that important day with 500 of your closest friends.”

  3. Remember that a moment can stay for all your life in your soul for you alone. While a photograph is admissible as evidence in a court of law. No contest really.

  4. An impressionist poem with faces pressed against the lens of the mirror’s image.
