PROPERTY AVENUE

PROPERTY AVENUE
Yevgeniy Levitskiy

The call comes through,
It’s a hello, followed by, how much?
I say, nothing, look at the buildings
and the value of dispositions of positions
-regardless, communication strangles high-rise
apartments on property avenue,
join the barkeeps and concierges
on a date, tip both, the same amount.

  1. Some poems are more curious than others. This one, however, although a riddle to me, makes me want to read more by this writer.

  2. MM welcomes Yevgeniy. This is first of two of his poems. Which I think captures quite a lot in an original way.

  3. dearest misfits’,
    you go so
well with my morning cup o joe!

  4. Yevgeniy combines economic and platonic concerns in a look at a particular event in his life
asking the reader what is value or valuable in any life, in the propriety and property of
    ownership. Who owns who?

  5. Yevgeniy combines economic and platonic concerns in a look at a particular event in life
which becomes our own curiosity asking the reader what is value or valuable in the propriety
and property of ownership. Who owns who?
