PARIS HAIKU

PARIS HAIKU
Virginie Colline

Galeries Lafayette fever
stinging nostrils
at the perfume counter

Pompidou Center
tiny humans
in the Paris dream pipe

the taciturn man
stares back at Mona Lisa
inner smile

an iron giraffe
in the grey savanna
Eiffel Tower!

  1. MM welcomes Virginie Colline with this series of haiku. Regular readers will know that MM doesn’t usually publish haiku, but I was impressed by these.

  2. Haiku in Paris passes the perfume test without cliches and manages to enthrall us at the counter
in a languorous language of a pleasant transformation.

  3. Good stuff in here—“the Paris dream pipe” and the last haiku are my faves.
