Ruth Moore

In a moments hesitation
I slept.
Until, with anticipation
I stirred.
Willing the door to ease
open and penetrate.
I desired to be seen
half asleep and half exposed.
And then…?
I imagined it.
I considered all of it.
I played it out in my
head and with my hands.
There, in the softness
of morning
and fading slumber,
I made myself moan.

  1. MM welcomes Ruth Moore with one poem…I thought this intimate piece was a good companion to yesterday’s poem by Devlin.

  2. A uniform form and voice of coherence for a release of love in poetry.
