For six minutes
the day was perfect.
I was in the beach
with my child mind.
I threw small rocks
and sunk a battleship.

  1. I love this piece from Luis. Although it’s a different poem, I’m reminded of a Leonard Cohen poem called THE REASON I WRITE. Look it up if you’re interested, I’m sure it’s out there online somewhere.
