What has become of us
When those that have done us wrong are given the right to do so
Through the sanitation and integration of crime in society?

Where the innocent are prisoners locked behind doors
Given cause for concern for whoever’s in the adjacent cell-
Wondering if they wish them harm

While insuring themselves to compensate intruders
Turning on the television to escape the violence and profanity
That provides our community service.
